ADP RUN: can I connect RUN Powered by ADP?

Short answer: not through Apideck today. This article explains why, which ADP products you *can* connect, and what to check before you scope an integration with an ADP customer.

ADP offers two kinds of API access:

• ADP API Central: a self-serve API subscription that an ADP client can buy for their own account. Apideck's ADP Workforce Now and ADP iHCM connectors use this.

• ADP Marketplace Partner Program: a partnership in which your company builds and lists an app on ADP Marketplace, goes through ADP's review, and each client subscribes to your app.

ADP has confirmed to us in writing that RUN Powered by ADP doesn't have API Central or an equivalent setup. The only way to reach RUN data is the Marketplace Partner Program.

ADP has also told us that it doesn't partner with middleware providers like Apideck. So Apideck can't provide a partner route for RUN either. To get RUN API access, your own company would have to apply to become an ADP Marketplace partner.

• A RUN connection can't currently be established through Apideck. The ADP RUN connector is listed as beta, but a consumer can't complete a connection with it today, so please don't plan a RUN integration around it.

• To integrate with RUN, your company applies to ADP directly. Go to partners.adp.com and select Start Application. ADP reviews applications against its partnership criteria and says it aims to respond within a few months. Your client then subscribes to your app on ADP Marketplace.

• If your company is, or becomes, an ADP Marketplace partner and you'd like to use that access through Apideck, contact your Apideck account manager first. This isn't supported today, so it would need to be scoped with us.
