Visma Nmbrs: the Default Company dropdown is empty after connecting
After a consumer authorizes Visma Nmbrs, the connection asks them to pick a Default Company. Sometimes that dropdown stays empty and greyed out, still showing "Available after authorization", even though the authorization went through. The connection then stays on Needs configuration, and calls fail until a company is selected.
What's going on
Once the consumer authorizes, Apideck asks Nmbrs for the list of companies that login can access, and shows those in the dropdown. If Nmbrs doesn't return any companies to that login, the dropdown has nothing to show. The "Available after authorization" text is misleading here: authorization did succeed, but the company list didn't load.
The cause is almost always the Nmbrs login that was used to authorize, not the Apideck setup.
What to check
The type of login. Use a client login or company login created at debtor level. A master login in an Accountant environment doesn't work with the Nmbrs API.
The login's API rights. In Nmbrs, what a login can access through the API is set by its user template. Ask the Nmbrs administrator to check the template assigned to this login and make sure it allows API access to company information (needed to list companies) and employee information. Then save the template.
Reconnect. After changing the login or its rights, the consumer should disconnect the Nmbrs connection in Vault and authorize again. The dropdown is filled in again on the new authorization.
If the dropdown is still empty after these steps, contact Apideck support through the Customer Portal (the Requests link at the top of this help center), your Slack channel with us, or support@apideck.com. Include the consumer ID and roughly when they tried, so we can look at the error Nmbrs returned.
